City leaders in Split, Croatia – which doubled as the slave city Meereen in the telly epic – will slap a GBP-132 fine on anyone flaunting a bikini in the street.

Ironically, Games of Thrones was notorious for its revealing costumes and sexy scenes.

Dozens of new community wardens will enforce the ban which applies anywhere except the beach.

The fine – worth EUR 150 (GBP 132) – is part of a public clean-up campaign across the city.

People caught drinking alcohol in public places will face the same fine and those caught walking a dog without a lead will be fined EUR 66.36 (GBP 58.27).

The city has also banned playing music from the terraces of bars and restaurants through loudspeakers, although live music is still permitted.

Anyone caught breaking the new rules will face a EUR-1,320 (GBP-1,160) fine.

Restaurants and bars can no longer have swings, sofas or seating that is not considered urban equipment.

And awnings and parasols must be neutral beige in colour and with no advertising slogans.

Fast food providers are also banned from having tables and chairs in the public space, and ATMs and cash machines are being removed from the city centre.

Diocletian’s Palace in Croatia’s second city Split was built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian towards the end of the 3rd century AD.

The palace was used as part of the former slave city of Meereen.
