The clip caused outrage online, with Istanbul residents bemoaning the practices of lorry drivers who reportedly use children to do the heavy lifting.
In the video, at least five teenagers are seen sitting on a pile of boxes and furniture items loaded on the lorry.
As they idly chat from their lofty and precarious position, the lorry edges along in the slow-moving traffic.
Netizens had a lot to say about the bizarre road journey. ‘Yakari’ commented: “They [lorry drivers] use children to load the vehicles. If you teach kids to write instead of work, these things would never happen.”
‘Yazik’ wrote: “These people give Istanbul a bad reputation.”
‘Eskidendi Hersey’ said: “Lorry drivers cause problems on the road every day, that is all they ever do.”
