The incident was captured outside the warehouse belonging to Nanjing Zhongxue Adhesive Tape Manufacturing Co, Ltd on the aftermath of 20th September.

The local fire service was dispatched after a blaze was reported in the factory’s warehouse, where raw materials for the production of glue and tape were kept.

In the video, two firefighters can be seen directing a stream of water from their hose at the multi-storey structure made of steel and concrete.

But a colleague yells at them to run after a flammable raw material appears to be carried out of the warehouse entrance by the otherwise flame-retardant foam water, setting the two rescuers on fire.

The clip shows the two firemen dropping their hose and running into puddles of foam in a bid to put out their flaming legs.

One of the rescuers is seen rolling on the ground in distress while his colleagues rush hour to douse the flames.

The authorities said the warehouse fire was finally brought under control in roughly 40 minutes.

Despite the scare, no members of the fire service were harmed.

The glue factory has reported no casualties either as investigations into the cause of the fire continue.
