This video seen over four million times in 24 hours shows a 6-year-old girl who knows kung fu balancing perfectly while standing upright on her grandfather’s shoulders as he takes her to school.

The footage shot on the busy streets of Kaili City, which is in south-western China’s Guizhou Province, shows what is reportedly the daily routine of grandad Wu Zhonghai and granddaughter Wu Lihua, 6.

Zhonghai, 53, is a local martial parts performer and stuntman who appears to have successfully passed on some of his knowledge – and talent – to his granddaughter, who in the beginning of September began her first day of primary school.

In the video filmed on 19th September, Zhonghai can be seen walking Lihua to school while the girl stands on his shoulder.

The grandad walks quickly through the crowd while the girl balances herself, using the back of her grandfather’s head for support.

They are now regularly seen doing this unusual school run together.

Responding to concerns that his granddaughter could hurt herself doing the stunt, Zhonghai said: “We do this at home all the time. She’s always standing on my shoulders.

“We have great chemistry. There is no danger.”

Zhonghai, who reportedly works as a stuntman in local Chinese television series and movies, revealed he was confident enough to bring Lihua to her first public martial arts performance this past May.

However, he has reminded members of the public not imitate his and his granddaughter’s stunt.

He is a martial arts practitioner, while his granddaughter is also versed in at least the basics of kung fu.
