This is the moment a woman runs for her life as she sprints away from two burly men who jump out of a car towards her in an alleged kidnapping attempt.

The incident took place in the municipality of Ecatepec, in the central Mexican state of Mexico and was recorded by a CCTV camera.

In the video, a woman, who has not been named in reports, can be seen standing on the pavement on her mobile phone.

A white car then comes to a halt in front of her and slowly turns away before two men jump out of the vehicle and sprint towards her.

The quick-thinking woman sprints away and them would-be kidnappers decide to cut their losses, running back to the car which speeds away.

The woman can be seen knocking on the door of a nearby house and the residents let her in.

Local media report the incident was an attempted kidnapping and reports state the two men have been identified as El Buho (The Owl) and El Guddy.

An investigation has been launched but no arrests have been reported.

Netizen ‘Dora Meltrozo’ commented: “Good reactions”.

And ‘Angel Alvarez’ warned: “You should take care. They (women) are kidnapped so fast.”
