An evil mum has been found guilty of beating her toddler son to death, chopping him up, and burning his remains before burying them under a garden shed.

The court in New Jersey, USA, convicted Nakira M. Griner of first-degree murder, second-degree desecration of human remains, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree tampering with evidence, and second-degree false public alarm on 4th January.

Griner, 28, is said to have killed 23-month-old Daniel Griner Jr. by beating him to death.

She had called emergency services multiple times on 8th February 2019, claiming a man had attacked her when she was out walking her son in a baby carrier.

She said the man had kicked her as she lay hurt on the floor before snatching the toddler and running away with him.

But later contradictions in her version of events prompted police to search the family home in Bridgeton.

There, sniffer dogs led officers to Daniel’s burned and butchered remains under a shed in the garden.

The court heard how the body parts were so badly burned that it was impossible to ascertain the cause of death at the time.

But a post-mortem examination ruled that Daniel’s cause of death was homicide caused by blunt force trauma.

The autopsy report also found he had sustained multiple fractures in the vicious attack.

Griner later came clean, admitting she had struck her son because the toddler “would not eat nor listen to her”.

Her lawyer claimed she did not “knowingly and purposefully” cause his death.

Griner – who, according to social media, married in February 2017 – snubbed a plea deal and is due to be sentenced on 21st February.

Prosecutors said: “As part of the deliberations, the jury also found the child victim was less than 14 years of age, an aggravating factor that would require the defendant face a sentence of mandatory life imprisonment without eligibility for parole.”
