Bradley Jermaine Baker, 48, stole the blue-and-white 2009 Chevy ambulance with no clothes on while under the influence of narcotics and went out for a ride on Friday, 10th February.

The 48-year-old man was indicted in February 2022, on charges that he had failed to register as a sex offender for a sex crime in Volusia County, Florida, in 1997.

At the time, he was reportedly jailed for three years for lewd assault and sexual battery of a child under 16 years old.

In his most recent offence, he was reportedly spotted near Mercer University Drive in Macon–Bibb County, Georgia, USA, after driving aggressively without turning the vehicle’s headlights on.

The local who alerted police about the bizarre sight also claimed that Baker was doing burnouts in a nearby parking lot.

He explained that he shared an address with the 48-year-old ex convict, who he hired as a painter prior to the incident.

An arrest warrant by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office stated that before the police came Baker was “completely nude and in full view of the public in the parking lot”.

But when the cops arrived at the scene, Baker refused to stop the vehicle and attempted to escape, which resulted in a short pursuit.

Some time later, the 48-year-old man got out of the ambulance and tried to make a run for it on foot, before he was arrested near 3802 Eisenhower Parkway.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “The individual had active warrants out of Bibb County and Douglas County.

“He faces charges of driving while license suspended or revoked, driving under the influence of drugs, probation violation, public indecency, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for a felony offense, and theft by taking.”

Following the arrest, Baker was booked into Bibb County Jail where he is currently held without bond.
