This is the moment a suspected drink-driver writes off his car and then casually walks away after launching his SUV over half a dozen vehicles in a car park.

The dramatic accident happened at 3:55am local time on 16th April outside the gated community Junhao International, which is in the city of Quanzhou in China’s eastern Fujian Province.

The unnamed driver, who is suspected of being heavily intoxicated, saw his accident partially captured on CCTV, which shows his white SUV hitting the roofs of six or seven parked cars after having been launched into the air by the kerb.

According to reports, the car crash-landed on its side and broke a tree before finally stopping against a concrete wall.

However, another CCTV video shows him climbing out of the wreckage and then casually walking off, stumbling along as he does so.

Images taken in the aftermath show the suspected drunk’s SUV almost completely destroyed.

Its roof and sides are severed mangled, while its wheels appear to be missing and half its engine is hanging out.

Quanzhou police said they were investigating the crash but did not say whether they were able to detain the suspect.

It was also not immediately unclear whether anyone else was injured during the incident.
