This video shows the US Coast Guard working in response to the recent severe weather.
A US Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew rescued two people and a dog from flooding near Arroyo Deco, 30 miles inland from Big Sur yesterday (10th January).
In the footage, it appears one of those rescued was a baby.
In a statement obtained by Newsflash, they warned: “More severe weather is forecasted over the coming days and the public are encouraged to exercise caution and follow local safety announcements.
“People in distress should use 911 to request assistance whenever possible.
“Social media should not be used to report life-threatening distress due to limited resources to monitor the dozens of social media platforms during large-scale rescue operations.”
