This is the cute moment a Golden Retriever sits on a mat in the lotus position while its owner went to the toilet during a class.

The funny scene was filmed during a yoga class in the city of Zhangzhou in the Chinese province of Fujian.

According to the news site Baidu, the dog’s owner went to the bathroom during the class and her dog took her place on the mat.

The peaceful pooch adopted what appears to be a canine form of the lotus position and even closed its eyes, perhaps to fully open its chakras and get the most out of the class.

When the owner came back into the hall, she saw her dog taking part in the exercise alongside other practitioners and reached for her phone to film the scene.

In the footage, the dog, apparently dressed in a Buddhist robe, is seen sitting on its hind legs with its front paws held out in front as if resting them on its imaginary knees like the three men sitting next to it.

During the whole clip, the sitting yoga dog, apparently immersed in deep concentration, simply stares ahead and does not move a muscle.
