This is the moment a divorced man blocks in his ex father-in-law’s car and jumps out of a van with his bat-wielding brothers to beat him up and apparently bite off his lip.

The incident was filmed by a CCTV camera in the north-western Turkish city of Istanbul after a row between the divorced man, identified as Murat G., and his former ex-father-in-law Adil began earlier at a marketplace, according to local media.

Following the earlier row, Murat, in the company of his two brothers Cadil and Ferat and unnamed mother, blocked in Adil’s car on the road while he was driving home with his son.

In the CCTV footage, Murat, in a black T-shirt, is seen jumping out of a white van and confronting his ex father-in-law.

Meanwhile, brothers Cadil and Ferat jump out with baseball bats and one of them joins Murat while the other targets Adil’s son in the passenger seat.

Both brothers then appear to pummel the son with their bats while Murat and his mum target Adil.

At one point, they all run over to beat up Adil, and Murat appears to bite the balding man’s face.

As a large crowd gathers and the brawlers are broken up, Adil is seen running over to punch Murat’s heavyset mum hard in the face.

At the end of the footage, the crowd manages to break up the fighting and they all return to their vehicles.

A photo of Adil in hospital after the fight appears to show that a large chunk of his bottom lip was bitten off. Meanwhile, his son needed stitches to a long wound on his forehead.

After the brawl, brother Ferat said: “I don’t play baseball, but we have baseball bats in our van for self-defence. We encountered these people by chance, it was not planned. We only wanted to defend our mum.”

According to local media, the three brothers have been arrested as the investigation continues.
