An evil paedophile that beat and raped a 7-year-old girl two years ago has been given the death penalty in Jordan.

The news comes after the country’s highest court approved his execution.

The court heard how the man attacked the little girl in 2018 after following her home from school in the Jordanian city of Irbid.

After noticing the man – who has not been named in local media – was following her, the child asked the man for some water and he took adventage of her innocence to launch the vile attack.

The predator took her to his home, where he violently assaulted and raped her.

Despite the child’s pleas for mercy he continued the attack and threatened her against speaking out before throwing her onto the street.

She then sat next to a mosque and cried before a passerby noticed and took her home to her parents.

The youngster then told them what happened and the police were called.

The crime shocked Jordan and many have been calling for the man’s execution since the incident took place.

Under Jordanian law, a death sentence is mandatory for men found guilty of raping girls aged under 15 and the current sentence is in line with those requirements.

Many people took to social media to praise the decision, however, others cast doubt over whether the sentence would be carried out.

One netizen said: “Let’s hope he isn’t pardoned and his sentence isn’t reduced to a few years of prison. It’s really important for him to be executed in public, so everyone can see and no one dares repeat such a deed.”
