This horrifying image shows the imprint of a phone charger cable on a baby’s skin after his father whipped him with it because he was annoyed by his son’s crying.

Cops arrested the man for torturing and killing his one-year-old son and they also arrested his wife on the same charges, as she had watched on and said nothing.

The officers arrested mum Stefanny Fontaneli Soares, 20, and dad Lucas da Rocha Ramos, 21, in the Brazilian municipality of Caceres on 23rd July.

They are accused of torturing and killing their one-year-old son, Enzo Gabriel Fontaneli, who was taken by his mother to A&E, where the cruelty was discovered.

The youngster was admitted with wounds all over his body and without vital signs, and doctors were unable to revive him.

His injuries included bruises all over his body including on his eyes, bumps on his head, and scars, including from being whipped with the phone charger cable.

Medical staff called the police, who arrested the woman at the health care unit and her husband at their rural property, from which they also seized an illegal firearm.

The mother originally told officers her son had fallen off a low wall and hit his head. However, she later changed her version of events, telling police chief Juda Maali Marcondes that she saw her husband beating their son because he was angry over his crying.

Investigators found that the beatings had taken place over an extended period of time and that during one episode, the child was hit in the chest and vomited, causing his dad to beat him again.

Both parents are charged with homicide, as the baby’s mother failed to prevent the beatings meted out by her husband.

The boy’s father confessed to beating his son, and the couple may also face rape charges, as a preliminary report shows the baby was sexually abused.

Both parents remain in preventive custody as the investigation is completed.
