This is the moment a screaming mother and her teenage daughter are wrestled to the ground and arrested by cops for attacking a headmistress who told the teen not to wear makeup.

The incident took place at high school number 7 of the municipality of Glew, in the eastern Argentina province of Buenos Aires and was recorded by onlookers.

Local media report that an unnamed student had called her mother saying that she had not been allowed into class because she was wearing makeup.

The mother, who has not been named in reports, reportedly went to the school with another of her daughters, 18, and they allegedly attacked the headmistress.

In the video recorded by onlookers, the mother and the student’s sister can be seen being arrested. One of the women can be seen on the floor with two officers grabbing her as she is handcuffed.

The other woman has been put up against a wall as she is arrested and both can be heard screaming wildly.

The Education Department of Buenos Aires province said that the student, whose name and age were not revealed, had gone to class with makeup and a shirt showed her navel, something that the headmistress reportedly considered as “inadequate”.

The department are investigating the student’s claims that the headmistress told her that the school was not “a brothel”.

Maria Ines Centurion, the Head of the District of Almirante Brown, told local media: “There is confusion about what happened. The behaviour of the person in charge of keeping the order in the school is not clear because she should have not treated the student like this. Moreover, we are investigating the coexistence code of the school because every place has its own rules. It depends on the economical situation of the families and the school’s background”.

The headmistress has reported the case to the police and requested a medical report for the injuries she sustained.

Centurion added: “We are also investigating the entrance of the police officers to the school. We do not know who called them and how they arrived there. We will meet with children and adults in order to start making decisions. We do not want the student to leave the school.”

Local media report the mother and sister were arrested for causing injuries and resisting arrest.

The investigation is ongoing and it is unclear if those arrested were charged.
