Cops Arrest Baby Faced Robbers Who Took Selfie In Bathroom Mirror After Break In

This photo shows two brazen males who look like they are barely out of school taking a selfie in the mirror of a luxury property they are in the process of burgling.

The duo and three other young men were arrested near the city of Pindamonhangaba in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo in the early hours of Wednesday, 27th October.

The five suspects were stopped at a toll booth as they returned from the city of Rio de Janeiro where they had spent several days carrying out a binge of thefts and burglaries.

The Criminal Investigation Department reported that the suspects often took selfies in the luxury properties they burgled, with their face coverings not doing an awful lot to mask their identities and their gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints being rendered futile.

Chief investigator Paul Henry Verduraz said: “Made up of young men, it was an extremely audacious gang that was unafraid to break into condos during the day, to use false documents to rent cars or to drive without a licence. They used to take photos at the crime scenes and these selfies put them right at the scene of the crimes of which they are accused.”

According to the police, the young men pretended to be residents of the condominiums and tricked the concierges and security guards into letting them in, after which they would target different apartments and take the belongings inside.

They would then sell some of the stolen goods online.

The police had been investigating the gang since April. The gang is believed to have burgled an astonishing 100-plus residences, including the house of a police chief’s ex-wife, over the past two years.

According to Verduraz, the gang acted all over the country, in states as far afield as Sao Paulo, Ceara, Rio de Janeiro and Mato Grosso.

It was not reported how many members the gang is thought to have in total, nor was it reported if the five detainees have been charged.
