This is the moment a wild boar takes a bite at a Chinese man strolling along the pavement on a sunny day before giving animal catchers and the cops the run around.

The incident was filmed in the city of Shenzhen in the Chinese region of Guangdong and the footage has been widely shared on the social network Douyin, also known as TikTok.

In the clip, a man is seen calmly walking along the pavement on a sunny day just as a wild boar enters the scene and jumps up at him, apparently trying to bite him before falling over and walking away.

An animal catcher is then seen slowly approaching the wild animal and managing to trap its head in his net.

Two colleagues and two cops arrive on the scene to help the man catch the struggling boar, but it apparently breaks free and the group is forced to chase it along the pavement.

Meanwhile, the pedestrian looks on after being startled from his pleasant stroll as the video comes to an end.

According to local reports, the authorities managed to catch the boar although it is unclear what they did with it afterwards.
