Pic shows: The firefighters cleaning the road from the leaked milk A road has turned into the Milky Way after 15,000 litres of milk leaked from a trailer onto the tarmac and froze over as the drain taps had been opened. The bizarre incident happened in Ruethen, a town located in the Western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. According to local police, unknown perpetrators managed to open the drain taps of a parked milk trailer when the driver detached it to collect more milk at adjacent farms. When the driver of the milk transporter came back, he found that around 15,000 litres of milk had leaked onto the road. As the temperatures that evening were minus 5 degrees Celsius, the milk quickly froze over. A fire brigade spokesman said the milk had "spilled over the entire width of the carriageway" creating dangerous slippery conditions for drivers. The spokesman said: "The fire brigade's 20 firefighters deployed two hose pipes and washed the milk off the road with about 20,000 litres of water." The fire brigade also called the road construction authority to sprinkle salt on the road to combat the slippery surface. It took a total of 20 firefighters to clear the road of the frozen milk. The fire brigade spokesman said: "The mission was finished by our comrades at around 00.30am." An investigation into the incident has begun.

Adrienne Koleszar, a 34-year-old police officer who keeps the streets of Dresden in the eastern German state of Saxony safe, has 557,000 followers on Instagram. The hot cop likes to share saucy snaps of her well-trained body in gym wear and skimpy bikinis while holidaying herself in sun-kissed locations. Koleszar, who weighs 65 kilogrammes (10.2 stone), and is 1.73 metres (5 feet 6 inches) tall has also been bombarded with praise from fans who would love to get arrested by the blonde belter. However, she has been given an ultimatum by police bosses who are growing increasingly unhappy with her online exploits. Koleszar, a police commissioner who earns a salary of 2,700 EUR (2,405 GBP) a month, has been summoned to see police chief Horst Kretzschmar. According to local media, she has taken six months of unpaid leave from her police work already this year. Kretzschmar wants to know whether the commissioner will dedicate as much time to solving crimes as she does to becoming an Instagram-model and influencer. The state of Saxony is currently looking to hire 1,000 new cops and police chiefs need Koleszar focused on her job due to personnel shortages. According to reports, Kretzschmar gave the 34-year-old an ultimatum which she has to decide on before Monday – does her future lie with law enforcement or as a model. Adrienne said: "I would gladly do both, but life isn't always a bowl of cherries." A police spokesman said that "Ms Koleszar has not yet made a decision about her future with the police".

Pic shows: The graphic designs of Turkish artist Ugur Gallen who depicts the contrast between war and peace. A young artist is building a huge online following with his powerful images that highlight the contrasts of war and peace and egalitarianism and inequality. Turkish artist Ugur Gallen explained on social media: "I live in Turkey, which happens to be located next door to one of the most dangerous regions in the modern world. "The contrast between these territories reflects two different worlds for me, and it inspired me to portray this in my work. I wish a peaceful future." The Istanbul-based artist uses graphic designs that use contradictory images to make a powerful point. Some pictures use modern iconic photos while others are blended with famous paintings. One design uses the image of the drowned Syrian toddler Alan Kurdi on a holiday beach scene next to a bucket and spade. Another design blends the 1818 painting ‘Wanderer above the Sea of Fog’ by Caspar David Friedrich with a photo of a man looking down on a bombed-out city. Gallen also merged the top half of the iconic photo of the four Beatles crossing Abbey Road by Scottish photographer Iain Macmillan with the bottom half of four prisoners being hanged in Iran. Gallen has quickly built up an Instagram following of 127,000 people and accompanies his hard-hitting images with the hashtag: "ParallelUniverseWarPeace" (translation).

The video was taken during the terrorist attacks in Barcelona on the 17th August 2017 but have only just been released by Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. In the video, the owner of the ice-cream shop on the famous La Rambla street in Barcelona city centre can be seen looking bewildered as dozens of people come streaming into his shop. The owner then quickly realises something serious is happening and climbs over the counter before herding people into the shop for protection. He then begins lowering the shutters to protect those inside, stopping halfway down to allow others to get in. Terrified tourists and locals can be then seen consoling each other during the attack which saw 22-year-old Younes Abouyaaqoub drive a van into pedestrians on La Rambla, killing 13. The videos were published by La Vanguardia as part of the summary of the case instructed by the National Court. Spanish newspaper El Periodico report that Catalan police had identified four members of the terrorist cell who carried out the attack a month before it happened. A patrol car on an industrial estate in the Badalona area of the city had identified Omar Hichamy, Mohamed Houli, Said Aalla and Moussa Oukabir on July 9th. The National Court’s report states that it is "very likely" the four had gone to the industrial estate to buy materials needed to carry out the attacks "that they had in mind to carry out". Moussa Oukabir, Omar Hichamy and Said Aalla were shot dead by police on 18th August after driving an Audi A3 into a crowd of pedestrians in the town of Cambrils just outside Barcelona. Mohamed Houli survived an explosion in the municipality of Alcanar on 16th August which killed two. The explosion was caused by stock-piled explosives
