Brothers Convert Old Car Into Helicopter To Offer Unique Wedding Transport Vehicle

Two crafty brothers who spent months converting an old car into a helicopter had all their hard work go in vain when police seized the unique ‘carcopter’.

The brothers, identified as Ishwar Deen and Parmeshwar Deen from Ambedkar Nagar, a district in India’s state of Uttar Pradesh, reportedly used a humble Maruti Suzuki Wagon R to create the modified vehicle.

According to some local media reports, Ishwardeen, a sculptor by profession, customised the car with the intention of offering it as a unique transport vehicle for weddings.

It reportedly took him and his brother two months of work to complete.

While on their way to get the modified vehicle painted, the police caught them during a routine inspection near the Akbarpur bus stand.

Remarkable footage shows the ‘carcopter’ parked outside a police station in Ambedkar Nagar, with people and a few policemen standing around the vehicle marvelling at the sight.

A helicopter’s rotor blade welded onto the car’s roof and a tail boom attached to the boot gave the vehicle its unique appearance.

Police said the vehicle was seized because it goes against transportation rules, specifically for undergoing modifications without proper authorisation.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Vishal Pandey said in a statement: “Due to the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, there have been continuous vehicle checks by the police.

“During one such inspection, a modified car was intercepted by the traffic police.

“Since modifications require permission from the RTO department, the vehicle was seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act.

“Further investigation into other aspects is underway.”

Authorities later released it after a fine was paid, local media said without specifying the amount.
