Brazilian Pastor Stops Man From Murdering Wife In Church And Helps Him Find God As Cops Arrest Him

This is the moment an evangelical pastor manages to dissuade an armed man from killing his wife and gives him a hug after he finds God just as police come to arrest him.

The incident was reported in the city of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, in the northeastern Brazilian state of Pernambuco.

According to information from the Military Police, the man entered the church armed, with the intention of murdering his ex-partner who is a member of the church and was attending the service.

Reportedly, the furious man arrived at the scene looking for the woman and was told to wait for the end of the service.

According to I7 News, the pastor, realising his intentions, started to pray for him and he was so touched by his words he not only gave up on the murderous plan but also said he had found God.

According to witnesses, it was only afterwards that the man revealed he was armed.

By this time the police had already been called by people inside the church and also reportedly waited for the end of the service to come up to the man.

Their body cam captured the moment they arrested the tearful man just after the pastor hugs him and cops then took him away with them.

They reportedly seized a gun and ammunition and he remains detained as the investigation continues.

Local residents who witnessed the scene said they were appalled and shocked by the intentions of the man, but also amazed by how the events concluded with the man finding God.
