This is the moment a scared buffalo bull runs into a courtyard having escaped a slaughterhouse before charging and ramming its owner three times.

The footage was captured in the town of Huangbei in the city of Meizhou in China’s southern province of Guangdong on 18th March.

The surveillance video shows a father and son being startled by the buffalo bull when it barges through their front gate.

The owner, who is wearing rain boots, runs into the courtyard in order to bring the animal back to the slaughterhouse, but the bull refuses to go quietly and retaliates in the only way it knows how.

Moments after the owner enters the gate, the buffalo recognises its owner and charges up to the man, slamming him against the metal frame before tossing him in the air.

The winded and injured owner grabs a mop in order to steady himself and tries to enter the home nearby, but he slips and startles the animal again when he falls over.

The bull rams him a second time and then a third time following a short run-up.

Meanwhile, the homeowner has barricaded himself inside his house, leaving the bull owner stranded and at the mercy of the buffalo outside.

As the video ends, the bull disappears out of frame when it circles around to the back of the house. More witnesses arrive to inspect the commotion.

According to reports, the villager suffered broken rips and a ruptured small intestine. His injuries were not life-threatening.

The bull was later captured and transported back to the abattoir.
