The child, identified as Cornelius Fairley, aged 6, from the city of Picayune, Mississippi State, USA, reportedly wasted no time when he found his mum Cornessia Fairley, 28, unconscious in February 2023.

He then immediately took the phone and dialled 911, telling dispatchers that he found his mother – a stage four metastasised pancreatic cancer patient – in a comatose state.

The boy then took the phone and dialled 911, telling dispatchers what happened and explaining that his mother has suffered health issues ever since she was diagnosed on 19th December 2022.

Cornelius said: “I called 911 because she wasn’t waking up.”

Paramedics then rushed to their home and immediately took the woman to the hospital.

His grandmother Cornelia Andrews said: “Thank You Jesus because without him having the knowledge to do so, we don’t know what would’ve happened.”

She then revealed more about her daughter’s condition and added: “When they found it, unfortunately, it had spread to her liver and lungs.

“And a couple of weeks ago we found out it had spread to the brain as well.”

But she claimed that despite the upsetting situation, her six-year-old nephew helps her keep the family spirit alive.

She said: “He’s always thinking ‘I want to give this to my mommy’.

“You know some kids go into the store ‘can I have this for myself, can I have this.’

“But he was more so trying to get something that would give a smile on his mommy’s face.

“The other day we went into the Dollar Tree getting something and when he came back, he was like ‘Glamma look what I have,’ and he picked up different coloured flowers and said ‘I want to take this to my mommy.'”

Cornelius, whose favourite superhero is Batman, reportedly spends his free time playing the drums.

He said: “I got a drum set at my house. My mommy and my daddy bought those drum sets.”

Before sharing that he also loves playing baseball, Cornelius added: “It’s a kid drum set but I want a real one.”

He finally said: “I love you mommy and I hope you come back soon or if the hospital tells you that you have to come back home.”

Meanwhile, Cornelia Andrews raised a GoFundMe campaign to raise money and help her daughter pay for chemo.

She said: “I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my twenty-eight-year-old daughter, Cornessia Fairley.”

Andrews explained more about her daughter’s diagnosis and said: “This diagnosis is as equally unexpected as it is devastating.

“Cornissia has already begun extensive chemotherapy and this type of treatment is very aggressive on her body.

“Due to her recent diagnosis, she is no longer able to work.

“Supporting Cornissia will assist us with her medical expenses, medications, travel expenses, her monthly bills and make sure her son is taken care of.

“We are appreciative of any amount that God lays on your heart to give.”
