Anna Ermakova, the 23-year-old third child of the Wimbledon champion and the Russian model Angela Ermakova, triumphed on Let’s Dance with what critics described as a “breathtaking performance” on 19th May.

Over the course of the show where she scored the full 10 points from the three judges on 11 occasions, breaking a previous record.

Her main motivation for taking part in the show had reportedly been to establish an identity for herself in her own right beyond her parents’ infamous brief encounter in a side room at a London restaurant, where she was conceived.

And it seems that TV bosses were happy to oblige after agreeing to the highest negotiated fee of at least EUR 200,000 (GBP 176,308) for her appearance, the highest this season and a fee that matches 44-year-old Lilly Becker’s payment from 2014 when she took part in the 7th season.

In contrast – some of her opponents – including handball world champion Michael ‘Mimi’ Kraus, 39 – apparently only received about EUR 35,000 (GBP 30,804).

German newspaper Bild disclosed that one of the terms in Ermakova’s contract includes a ban on the use of her father’s name while on stage.

It was not revealed whether it was Ermakova or the show officials who insisted on the restriction.

But at the end of every performance, she thanked her dance partner Valentin Lusin and her mother Angela. Although commentators noted it was her own talent that took her to the top.

She said: “I came from England to Germany because I wanted to dance, and I never believed that I would be so welcomed him with open arms.”

Anna – who previously studied as a ballerina but then gave up dancing to study art history in London – is now seriously thinking about a return to dance together with acting and added that she had already received some offers.

The show – in which dance-loving celebrities battle against each other with a professional dance partner – has reportedly made the redhead extremely popular and a fans’ favourite.

Meanwhile, Becker himself has been criticised for suddenly expressing his pride and his daughter when previously the relationship had been distant.

He posted online saying: “My girl is this evening on the big stage.” He added that he “could not be prouder”.

Her tennis legend father also shared a video of Ermakova’s performance on his Instagram on Monday, 24th April, and said she looks “absolutely breathtaking.”

Becker had however at the time refused to accept paternity of his third child before finally accepting that she was his daughter.
