Boca Juniors Players Told To Stop Using The Plane Lockers As A Drum After Winning Copa Argentina

This is the moment a flight attendant tells Boca Juniors football players to “stop hitting the plane” after they used the lockers as drums when they won the Copa Argentina on penalties.

The incident was filmed on the team’s return trip from the city of Santiago del Estero in the northern Argentine province of the same name back to the eastern capital Buenos Aires where Boca Juniors is based.

The rowdy scenes followed the team’s Copa Argentina win against Club Atletico Talleres from the city of Cordoba in the cup final on 9th December.

Boca Juniors won the cup 5-4 on penalties after the match finished a goalless draw.

On the flight home, the winning team sang and danced to music, occasionally ‘playing the drums’ on the overhead lockers in time to the rhythms.

The video was filmed by Boca Juniors striker Luis Vazquez and was later widely shared on social media.

In the footage, the team is seen celebrating on the flight before a cabin crew member appears and tells the players: “Sing, put music on, but do not hit the plane.”

After the telling off, the footballers apologised to the flight attendant and continued their celebrations, but this time without hitting the plane.

It was the fourth time in the club’s history that they had won the Copa Argentina after previous successes in 1969, 2012 and 2015. The team has now directly qualified for the group stage of the Copa Libertadores 2022.
