Sasha Keeshawn Lemons, 22, got into the row with the man identified only as Rickquan, outside his home at the 1800 block of Burrows Lane in the city of Sanford, in Seminole County, in the US state of Florida, on Saturday, 10th December.

Several witnesses said that they saw Lemons battering the man who then climbed into a black 2009 Chevrolet with two other adults and two children and fled the scene.

The furious young mum then climbed into her black Mazda which also contained her young son and started a high-speed chase.

It eventually ended when she managed to drive it off the road, according to a statement by Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and the Sanford Police Department.

One of the other passengers in the escaping black Chevrolet was quoted in an affidavit saying that at one point, they noticed they were being driven out by Lemons, who was travelling at a “high rate of speed”.

As Lemons pulled up alongside them, the driver of the fleeing vehicle shouted that “she had her children in the car and [Sasha] needed to leave them out of whatever dispute was going on”, the unnamed witness added.

The affidavit continued: “[The Chevrolet driver] stated that Sasha yelled aloud ‘fuck your kids!’ and intentionally rammed the front of her vehicle.

“After striking the vehicle, [the Chevrolet driver] realized that the vehicle was no longer operable. Sasha placed her vehicle in reverse and struck the front of [the Chevrolet driver’s] vehicle again.”

Rickquan then tried to flee from the vehicle to escape Lemons, but she rammed him and pinned him into the fence.

The affidavit continued: “Sasha exited the vehicle and started to strike Rickquan repeatedly before re-entering her vehicle.”

She then came back into her own vehicle and drove off, reportedly hitting the Chevrolet again and bending the door backwards.

When officers were called to the scene, they found her parked back outside the house where the original conflict had taken place.

They noted that her car showed substantial damage and arrested her.

She denied that she had been driving dangerously with the child in her own car, saying that she had left the boy with a relative, but they denied having seen the child for seven days.

It is unclear why Lemons was so angry and what the relationship was between her and the victims.

Lemons has been charged with aggravated battery on a person using a deadly weapon, child neglect and leaving the scene of a hit-and-run, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation continues.
