The biker, who is not wearing a helmet, rides right into the front of the van and the dog runs off.

The biker, identified as Mr Liu, told the police: “I was passing by and the dog started chasing me. I was scared of being bitten by the dog so I rode at maximum speed and kept looking back.

“In that moment, the van was turning left and crashed into me.”

According to local media, the police tracked down the dog owner and held the unnamed man responsible for failing to keep the animal on a lead, which is required under law.

Reports said that he has to compensate both Mr Liu and the van driver for the damage caused in the accident.
