A baseball apparently autographed with the signatures of US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin is on sale for more than 44,000 GBP.

According to local media, the item was autographed by Putin at the beginning of this year while Trump reportedly signed it during a meet-and-greet in North Carolina in March.

The item is on sale on momentsintime.com for 54,000 USD (44,615 GBP).

On the website, the item is described as follows: “A high ranking Russian government official obtained Putin’s signature in person at a public event. Trump’s signature was obtained at his rally in North Carolina on March 2, 2020.” (sic)

The ball is reportedly an official Major League Baseball item and is in pristine condition.

However, many netizens were far from keen on purchasing the item with many criticising the presidents’ policies and nobody seemingly willing to stump up the cash.

It is unclear whether the item is genuine or exactly who the official is who added it to the online e-commerce website.

It is also unclear whether either of the presidents are aware of the fact that they apparently signed the same item.
