This adorable Polish child who suffers from a muscle-wasting disease is defying the odds – and Donald Trump – by flying to Chicago for specialist care.

Little Kacper Rylo, who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), jetted to the United States on Saturday despite the ban on EU visitors in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak.

His parents were initially heartbroken when they heard of the ban on US flights last week.

However, officials in Poland teamed up with their counterparts in the US embassy so Kacper could travel to the Windy City for care.

The family was finally given the green light to fly on Saturday morning just hours before they flew out and headed stateside.

In a heartfelt social media post, the youngster’s parents thanked everyone who helped them on their way as they prepared to jet off from Warsaw’s Chopin Airport last weekend.

They said: “Thanks to the joint efforts of these people we are able to fly safely today, being certain that we’ll be accepted on the American soil,” they wrote. “Of course, we are flying with a medical escort, bypassing the airport’s standard procedures safely.”
