BAD INFLUENCE: Cops In Mexico Seize Teen Influencer With Gun And Ammo

Cops in Mexico arrested a 19-year-old influencer after they caught her with a gun and ammo.

Teenage Sherlyn Gonzalez was seized in Mexicali, Baja California State, north-western Mexico on 9th October.

An American man was also arrested with her.

The arrests took place after cops on patrol caught a vehicle speeding and ignoring stop signs.

They stopped and inspected the car and found four young people inside, as well as a 9mm Glock handgun and a magazine loaded with 14 cartridges, which they seized.

The four were identified as Sherlyn – originally from Mexicali – 17-year-old Yessica – also from Mexicali – 18-year-old Glenn Jose – originally from Victorville, California, USA – and 20-year-old Francisco – originally from Puerto Penasco, Sonora State.

The suspects’ surnames were not reported in local media due to strict local privacy laws, though Newsflash can reveal that Sherlyn’s surname is Gonzalez.

Sherlyn is active as an influencer on social media, where she has 122,000 followers on Instagram and more than 13,600 on Facebook.

Snaps on her Instagram page show her on holiday around Mexico, on the beach, posing with high-end vehicles and expensive fashion accessories, at VIP parties, and even on a yacht.

She captioned one of her more recent posts: “Never stop shining just because some people are bothered by your light.”

And she had captioned an earlier post: “Try to be so great that everyone wants to reach you and so humble that everyone wants to be with you.”

One netizen replied: “Try not to go to jail for illegally carrying weapons, ha ha ha.”

The four suspects remain at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office.

They face charges of possessing prohibited weapons and violating traffic laws.
