This video shows a man dubbed the ‘Audi Prat’ attempting to merge in front of a woman driver before throwing a plastic bottle at her car when she does not let him through.

The incident happened last month on Guantai Road in the coastal city of Dongguan in South China’s Guangdong Province.

Dashcam video from the vehicle belonging to Ms Dai shows her travelling straight behind a row of cars when the black Audi saloon attempts to jump the queue from the right.

The male Audi owner named as Mr Xia motions to cut in front of Ms Dai and attempts to forcefully merge in front of her car and into the long queue.

But Ms Dai stands firm and repeatedly stops his manoeuvre while honking at him.

After several attempts, Mr Xia finally overtakes Ms Dai at a junction, but he stops to shout at her through his open window.

Then before driving off, Mr Xia throws a mineral water bottle at Ms Dai’s car, bouncing it off her bonnet and windscreen.

Ms Dai reported the incident to Dongguan police and handed over her dashcam footage as evidence.

Mr Xia was found guilty of endangering driving, accepting a 300-RMB (34-GBP) fine and two points docked from his licence.

Social media users on China’s Twitter-like platform Weibo said they believed the punishment was too lenient.

‘Wangye Xiaodao’ commented: “This guy needs to be explosed.”

‘Huace Jiance’ said: “Audi prat! Rubbish person.”

‘Zeng Xianchuan’ wrote: “300 bucks? 2 points? You think he cares?”

‘Jiongtu Zhongren’ added: “That’s a nothing punishment.”
