This is the dizzying moment a Russian daredevil carries out his daily exercise routing using TV cables suspended between two buildings in Vladimir Putin’s hometown.

The incident where he also films himself giving the finger to people below as he carries out his morning exercise took place in the north-western Russian city of Saint Petersburg, and the footage was shared on the man’s Instagram account.

In the video, the man, identified only by his name Svyatoslav, is seen shimmying along cables suspended between two buildings high above the street.

While wearing a face mask, he hangs upside down and swings on the cables multiple times before showing two fingers to people on the street below.

Svyatoslav said that he always uses safety equipment and usually carries out his training routine at 5am when it is still dark and people cannot see him.

He told local media: “Many people think I’m using rope, but no, they are TV cables that have always been there. I warm up there every day, just five minutes, no more.”

The daredevil also said that he is not breaking the COVID-19 lockdown rules because he is wearing a face mask and does not have any contact with other people.

According to the latest figures from the Johns Hopkins University, Russia has registered 32,008 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 273 related deaths.
