This is the viral moment a Chinese man is busted by cops after he drew attention to himself by doing balancing stunts without a helmet or licence.
Because the man identified only by his surname Mr Zhang was trying to stand on the bike he was filmed, and had the bad luck that when the videos were posted online , they were watched over 2 million times.
That resulted in cops taking interest in the footage shot on the streets of Baise City, which is in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, reportedly on Huandao 1st Road.
Police then took an interest in the footage filmed on 7th September as he kneels and then stands on the seatwhile driving through traffic.
Local authorities as this picture shows thensummoned Mr Zhang for questioning on 10th September and arrested him on suspicion of dangerous driver.
The cops later learned that the motorcycle belonged to Mr Zhang’s friend, and that the man whose somewhat mediocre stunts impressed so many of his countrymen did not even have a licence.
Reportedly bored, Mr Zhang said he did the stunt “for the thrill”.
He was given an undisclosed fine and 15 days of administrative detention as punishment.
The authorities did not say whether Mr Zhang would be allowed to sit for a motorcycle licence in the future.
