This stunning Malaysian model who was being blackmailed with nude photographs taken from her laptop has got ahead of the story by posing naked for the famous magazine Penthouse.
The influencer, YouTuber and model Siew Pui Yi, 23, is the first Malaysian person to appear on the cover of Penthouse.
She was reportedly born in Kuala Lumpur for before her family moved to Penang when she was nine years old.
The model was reportedly blackmailed to the tune of MYR 18,000 (GBP 3,160) when she took her laptop in for repairs and it was allegedly hacked.
She said: “I’ve always wanted to be the first Malaysian model for Victoria’s Secret. I’m going to achieve that.”
She added: “My parents completely support me in everything that I do, including my business and my modelling career.”
The influencer, who has a team of 20 people who manage her social media accounts and help her to produce her content, revealed that she was threatened by hackers who accessed private, nude photographs of her after she sent her laptop in for repair in late 2019.
She was informed by friends that her nudes were being sold online for MYR 238 (GBP 42) per photograph.
She was also blackmailed by the perpetrators, who reportedly asked her to bring them MYR 18,000. Despite showing up at a petrol station, as instructed by the perpetrators, along with a police presence and her former boyfriend, three men in helmets on motorcycles managed to evade capture and leave with the money.
The model, who knew that she would not be able to get her nude photographs back, says that she at times thought about taking her own life, but she then decided that she would slowly post the news on social media so she could take control of the situation.
She said: “I am not going to die at the hands of these perpetrators. If I die, I die by my own fault.”
The model, who is also a cosmetics entrepreneur, then decided to pose for Penthouse in order to be seen on her own terms. The January issue of Penthouse is reportedly going viral on social media after a PDF version of it was leaked.
