Cops have arrested an influencer over videos of her violently beating her own three-year-old son to get back at her ex, who walked out on them.
The clips of Lurdiane Agnes, who has 63,900 followers on TikTok, hitting her crying son to get back at his dad went viral on Brazilian social media.
The resident of the city of Manaus filmed herself smacking her son as a way of getting back at her ex, 36-year-old career crook Cristiano Lima Martins, who was arrested in November 2019.
During his arrest for fraudulent car financing at below-market prices, cops seized a credit card cloning machine, a box containing electronic chips and two laptops from his residence.
Cristiano is now a free man and no longer lives in Manaus, and Lurdiane apparently filmed herself smacking her son in revenge for him leaving them and failing to sustain them financially.
Lurdiane reportedly worked as an escort and allegedly got pregnant by Cristiano to improve her lot financially, as she knew he frequented the most exclusive clubs in the city.
However, when Cristiano walked out on the pair and failed to give Lurdiane the high life she had aspired to, she took her frustrations out on her son.
In a clip, she can be seen smacking the three-year-old boy, who shouts “mummy, no” as she tells him his dad has “money to pay whores, but none to give to you”.
In another video, she calls her ex a “jerk” and tells her son his dad hates him and that the youngster will “get a hiding” from her if he asks for him.
The influencer was summoned to the police on Monday, 12th July, where she was charged with torture. The police had become aware of the incriminating videos on the preceding Friday.
Her son was taken in by the child protective services, which will determine if he can be passed to a family member.
Lurdiane advertises her services under the pseudonym Agnes on an escort website called Acompanhantes Manaus.
She has the biblical quotation “The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground” from Psalm 147 written in her bio on her TikTok page.
She apologised for her actions, taking to social media to write: ” I know I did wrong in a moment of anger and nothing justifies my loss.
“But you have a mother, and I love you so much, my son. You came to add to my life.”
