3yo Has Chunk Of Leg Bitten Off By Huge Dog

These horrific images show a three-year-old boy with a chunk bitten out of his leg by a huge dog which had allegedly been released by its owner to scare away the children playing children in front of her house.

The disturbing incident was reported in the town of Volsk in the western Russian region of Saratov Oblast.

According to national news channel Saratov News, the little boy, identified as Marat, 3, was attacked by a Central Asian Shepherd Dog (Alabai) belonging to a neighbour.

Marat’s mother, Evgheniya Konkina, 29, said the dog’s owner sent the dog to drive away the children playing outside her house.

She shared a post on her VK social media account about the incident, saying that she had gone out shopping, leaving her three children with her sister.

She wrote: “My son ran out into the street to call a friend of his for a walk. And the owner of the dog let the animal off its chain to drive the kids away from her house. My child got scared and ran, and the dog got out of the owner’s hands and ran after my son. And what happened, I think you see for yourself”.

The mother, who also has an 18-month-old toddler and six-month-old baby, also shared several pictures of her son showing the aftermath of the attack.

One of the photos show a big chunk of flesh missing from his leg and the others show bruises he has on his neck and face.

The VK social media page ‘Plohie_novosti_18’ shared a post saying that the owner of the dog, Natalya Posrednikova, 54, confessed to what happened and said she wanted to help with the boy’s treatment, although this information has not been officially verified.

The regional health ministry press service reported to Saratov News that the boy was in a state of moderate severity on 2nd August and was admitted to the regional hospital.

The ministry said: “He has been provided with all the necessary medical assistance”.

The representative of the Saratov Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, Vladimir Kosterov told Saratov News that law enforcement officers received the complaint on 4th August from the injured boy’s mother.

Kosterov said: “All the necessary checks and examinations are currently being carried out to find out the circumstances of the incident.”

The boy remains in hospital according to the most recent reports and the investigation is ongoing. It is unclear if the dog has been seized.

The Central Asian Shepherd Dog was traditionally used for guarding sheep and goat herds, as well as to protect and for guard duty. Males can reach up to 100 kilogrammes (220 lbs).
