YOU’VE GOT JAIL: Homicide Suspect Gets Arrested Weeks After Murder

This is the moment police officers catch and arrest a suspected killer after he returned to the scene of the crime weeks after the murder of a male victim and was seen casually walking down the road.

The Atlanta Police Department (APD) has been after Deiontre Hughes, 28, ever since he became the main suspect in the killing of 37-year-old Priness Fields in the city of Atlanta, in the US state of Georgia.

Fields died just shortly after suffering a severe blow to the head on 14th November, the police said.

Hughes was reportedly evading officers up until the Georgia State University Police (GSU) accidentally happened upon him walking around the area where Fields was murdered.

GSU officers immediately detained Hughes and notified the APD, who soon arrived at the scene and confirmed his identity.

Body-worn footage shows officers arresting Hughes, who was taken into custody safely and without incident.
