Young Iranian Woman Refuses To Wear Hijab As She Caresses Dead Mums Face During Funeral

This is the heartbreaking moment a young woman shares a video of herself at the bottom of a grave caressing her dead mother’s face and saying goodbye after she was killed by Iranian security officials.

Victim Mino Majidi, 62, died in Kermanshah, Kermanshah Province on 20th September, says a report from the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.

In a posting on Twitter, Roya Piraei, the daughter of the dead woman, said: “This is me kneeling in my mother’s grave caressing her cold face and saying farewell. My mother, Mino Majidi, was shot dead by the Islamic regime forces during the protests.”

She added: “This filthy theocracy will be doomed eventually.”

It was reported that the woman was shot by security officials during protests against the killing of Mahsa Amini after she was arrested by security agents.

The daughter, who attended the funeral, was seen lying in the grave crying and not wearing the mandatory hijab.

As an angry crowd gathered for the service, video footage shows them chanting “Women. Life. Freedom.”

Women can be seen removing their headscarves and waving them around their heads as they chant.

A second piece of footage shows mourners gathered in a forested area, attending Majidi’s burial service.

Protests have erupted all over Iran after the death of Mahsa Amini last week at the age of 22.

She had been declared brain dead following a beating in police custody.
