“Today, the approaches to Avdiivka are a mess of sinkholes, littered with enemy corpses, and daily attempts by occupation forces to encircle the city.

“The operators of the 8th separate regiment of the Special Forces destroyed an enemy group that moved forward at night to storm the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the Avdiivka sector.

“The SF operators added: ‘While conducting surveillance in our area of responsibility, we noticed an enemy group of seven servicemen moving down the landing zone, we opened fire on the enemy with a mortar. The group completely destroyed as a result of the fire’.”
