These images show Ukrainian Azov special forces snipers taking out Russian soldiers on the frontlines.
The footage, shot through the scopes of sniper rifles, shows a number of Russian soldiers being taken out.
The images were obtained from the Azov Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU). On Monday, 19th February, along with a statement saying: “A reconnaissance group of the 12th Special Forces Brigade ‘Azov’ of the NGU conducted a raid into the enemy’s rear.”
The images were also relayed by the National Guard of Ukraine.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 19th February 2024, Russia had lost approximately 403,720 personnel, 6,498 tanks, 12,232 armoured combat vehicles, 9,733 artillery units, 986 multiple launch rocket systems, 674 air defence systems, 336 warplanes, 325 helicopters, 7,460 drones, 1,898 cruise missiles, 25 warships, 1 submarine, 12,767 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 1,545 units of special equipment.
Russian troops launched multiple attacks west of the recently captured town of Avdiivka, aiming for further gains, according to a Ukrainian army spokesperson.
Azov Fighters Clear Russian Positions On Frontlines
Kyiv has also initiated a war crimes investigation following reports of Russian troops shooting captured Ukrainian soldiers. Russia claims some Ukrainian troops remain at the Avdiivka coking coal plant.
Due to manpower and ammunition shortages, Ukraine has withdrawn from Avdiivka in eastern Donetsk, marking Moscow’s first significant territorial gain since May last year.
Ukrainian forces reported repelling 14 Russian attacks near Lastochkyne, west of Avdiivka, with significant defences in place.
Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced at the Munich Security Conference that Denmark will donate all its artillery to Ukraine, citing other European countries holding surplus munitions.
She emphasised the urgency expressed by Ukrainians for ammunition and artillery. Frederiksen highlighted Russia’s destabilising actions globally and the need to support Ukraine amidst ongoing conflict.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky urged not to ask Ukraine about the war’s end but to question why Putin can still prolong it. He emphasised Ukraine’s determination to reclaim its land and highlighted the potential for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s defeat.

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas brushed off a warrant issued by Russia for her arrest, calling it an intimidation tactic amid speculation about her potential EU role.
