German trans reality star Lucy Hellenbrecht has revealed that she stretches her new vagina every day to prevent it from closing up after undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
The 22-year-old ‘Germany’s Next Topmodel’ contestant, who was born Luca but never felt comfortable in a man’s body, shared a photo of her recovering in a hospital in the German city of Munich on Instagram for her army of followers after undergoing the surgery on 9th November.
She told the newspaper Promiflash: “The vagina is practically – as stupid as that sounds – a wound that must not close. That’s why you stretch the whole thing regularly. You do that with so-called ‘stretch pins’.”
Lucy says that at the beginning she had to stretch three times a day, but “at some point the body naturally gets used to the circumstances, and you don’t have to stretch as often”.
She added: “It doesn’t hurt at all, but at the beginning it took me a while to get used to it because the situation was completely alien to me.”
Lucy says she plans to discuss her first sexual experience as a woman with her followers when she is fully recovered.
She posted on Instagram: “I’ll inform you guys! But it will take some time until everything is healed.”
Hellenbrech, who was always open about her identity as a trans woman on the hit German reality show, said that accepting who she was, gave her the confidence to approach men.
The trans model commented: “Now I’ve built up enough confidence to appreciate that I am good looking, that I come across as a woman, and that I’m authentic. And then I dared to go straight up to men.”
