Tot In Shopping Centre Kicked By Passing Stranger

This footage – seen nearly 5 million times in 24 hours – shows a toddler wandering around a shopping centre when a stranger walks up to her from behind and kicks her legs out from under her.

The incident took place at the Xingcheng Shopping Center in Shenzhen in South China’s Guangdong Province on 28th August.

The one year-old girl was said to be visiting the shopping centre with her grandmother, 57, who can be seen watching the child and following her from a distance.

The male suspect walks towards the girl, but before passing her he kicks the girl from behind, taking out both her legs.

The child falls onto the floor, injuring herself, while the stunned grandmother rushes over to check on the tot and to confront the man.

According to the girl’s nan, the man threatened her with violence, forcing her to let him walk away.

None of the other witnesses are thought to have intervened, with the girl’s family members later posting the footage online in hopes of finding the culprit.

The child suffered no serious injuries apart from a few bruises.

Shenzhen police investigators revealed on 29th August that they had identified a suspect.

However, no arrests had been made at the time of writing.
