Top Model WAG Almost Dies After Heart Scare

German Top Model Alena Gerber model shows photos of her recovering well after suffering from a shock heart condition.

The stunning 31-year-old German model, actress and TV host was rushed to hospital in the city of Munich, in the southern German state of Bavaria. on 20 September.

Alena, who is married to 39-year-old Werder legend Clemens Fritz, was given a surprising diagnosis of a severe heart condition.


The news came out after the model posted details to her 162k Instagram followers from her hospital bed.

She wrote: “I am in the hospital because of an inflammation of the myocardium, which I have apparently been carrying for a few months.”

It is most often caused by a virus or bacteria infection, although, there was no reason given for how she contracted the condition.


Reportedly, the model is now through the worst and has been discharged from hospital.

Alena recently posted photos of herself in the outdoors saying she is taking a break in Austria together with her three-year-old daughter and husband to continue her recovery with plenty of rest and fresh mountain air.

Alena told national newspaper Bild: “I am on the right track, even if I know that you shouldn’t rush anything with such a diagnosis.”


Alena added that fortunately she was seen before her heart suffered permanent damage, saying: “Most patients no longer have full cardiac output or limited pumping ability, which, thank God, is not the case with me, for which I am incredibly grateful.”

Alena recalls how she spent months ignoring the signs, suffering heart palpitations and stabbing pain in her chest.

She said: “I ignored these signs and went to the doctor very late.


“In the future, I will listen better to my intuition and know it’s ok to say no or stop when things get too much.”

Alena was discovered by a German model agency at the age of 13, since when she has been working non-stop, participating in regional beauty contests and then making appearances on several German TV series and German TV shows.
