Teen Thought To Have Taken Own Life Now May Have Been Murdered Over Child Porn

A teenager who apparently committed suicide by jumping off an overpass onto a motorway in 2015 may have been killed after it was revealed the young woman, who was planning to start a new life in England, had been tricked into posing for pornographic photographs when still underage.

It was also revealed on the night she died that thousands of pornographic images of Giulia Di Sabatino, from the comune of Tortoreto in the Abruzzo region in Italy, were deleted from her devices.

Until now police have believed that she jumped to her death from an overpass on the A14 motorway on her 19th birthday on 1st September 2015.

The teen’s parents, who had long doubted their daughter’s suicide, hired computer technicians, who recovered 3,008 photographs of Gulia and her friends, many of a pornographic nature, deleted after her death.

Folders and an entire browsing history that had been deleted were also recovered, and the detectives were also able to ascertain who had accessed the young woman’s Facebook profile.

Most significantly, they found the teen’s email credentials had been changed on the night of her death, but it is unclear whether it was before or after she died.

She had left her mobile phone at home and the investigators found the change was effectuated from a distant IP address.

The latest findings corroborate details from the autopsy, which revealed an impact to the chest area, suggesting the victim was placed on the road rather than launched onto it from above.

Furthermore, no traces of rust were found on her hands or clothes at the time, suggesting she had not made contact with the barrier at the edge of the overpass.

Newsflash

The latest finding also seems to corroborate witness testimony from a motorist who claimed he had seen the young woman being escorted by two men on the overpass at the time.

The man, whose testimony came to light in January, later died in an accident. It is unclear whether the Italian police have investigated his death and whether there is anything suspicious about the accident that claimed his life.

A former friend of the victim, Francesco Totaro, went on trial in October last year for blackmailing her into her posing for pornographic photos and videos when she was a minor.

Newsflash

He was aged 30 at the time, and the outcome of the trial has not been reported. However, he was cleared as a suspect in the teen’s death, although no details about that have been revealed.

With the private detectives’ latest findings, the victim’s family’s lawyer, Antonio Di Gaspare, hopes the investigation into Di Sabatino’s death will take a new direction.
