Pic Shows: A driver stops in the busy traffic of Istanbul in order to help a stray dog to cross the road; This is the moment a besuited motorist slams on the brakes in the middle of a motorway to help a stray dog to safety. The eccentric man's dangerous act of kindness was caught on CCTV cameras in Turkey's biggest city of Istanbul. The driver pulled up after spotting the dog near the central reservation of the busy motorway from where it was unable to reach the other side. As other motorists are seen being forced to pull up behind him, the man gets out of his car and goes to help the dog. The man, seen wearing a smart business suit, escorts the mutt across the road while holding up his arms to make other drivers give way. His good deed ends with the stray dog successfully making its way across the motorway and ducking under the crash barrier. The video was spotted and shared on social media by Murat Kazanasmaz, who works for the city's traffic department. He commented: "What a good thing - a gentleman takes the dog in the middle of the road to a safe place." Netizens also queued up to congratulate the man such as 'Mehmet Yilmaz' who said: "Well Done! This is a real human!" 'Aslankral Murat Durdagi Ulug' agreed: "Life is so simple actually, if we only did what we are supposed to do, everybody would live peacefully." However, 'aliye_' argued: "Now is this the right thing? What about the vehicles that came behind? If they came too fast, there would be injuries! Please don't encourage such things!" Istanbul is famous for its thousands of stray dogs and cats which are mostly well cared for by local residents who put out food and warm bedding for them in winter.

Residents in a village outside the city of Przemysl in the south-eastern Polish province of Subcarpathian Voivodeship claim the starving male deer had turned to them for help. Radoslaw Fedaczynski from the Centre for Rehabilitation of Protected Animals based in Przemysl said: "The albino deer was probably abandoned by his mother due to its unusual appearance. "Albinism is a congenital disorder characterised by a lack of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes. It is particularly disadvantageous to animals because it deprives them of their natural camouflage." Fedaczynski added: "Such animals are more often than not targeted by predators." According to reports, the deer was taken to a veterinary clinic where the pale animal was checked over before being sent to the village of Zawoja where he was settled in an animal centre. Netizens had a lot to say about the albino deer’s plight. Social media user ‘Agnieszka Kla’ wrote: "It is very sad that albino animals are often rejected by the herd and become lonely. However, it is reassuring to know that people are there to help them."
