An investigation ordered by management at Tho Xuan Airport in Thanh Hoa Province, which is in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam, found that they should have immediately stepped in when the three drunks slapped and kicked the woman dressed in red, identified as Le Thi Giang of budget carrier Vietjet Air. The security manager for the Northern Airports Authority Tran Hoai Phuong that managed before security staff said: "Camera footage showed the security staff responded slowly and let the thugs severely assault the victim right under their noses. The attack happened on November 23 this year when the trio identified as 28 year old Pham Huu An, 41 year old Le Van Nhi and 34 year old Le Trung Dung turned up at the airport to see off power. They then asked a pretty stewardess to take a photo with them but then they then wanted more photos and she refused because she was busy, they flew into a rage. As this video shows she was slapped and even and even kicked causing her to fall over, and another hostess that attempted to stop them was slapped in the face. When the video went online it caused a massive public outcry at the lack of courage shown by the security guards and the demand for punishment of the men after it was revealed one of them had a father who was a senior official. All three ended up with a one year flight ban imposed by the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam. Vietjet that last year carried over 50 million passengers is owned by a Vietnamese female billionaire and has not commented on the issue.
