This is the moment a playful pooch makes a bizarre slip-up as it plays in a garden in southern China.

The dog – filmed on CCTV in a backyard in Guizhou province – seems excited to be playing out in the rain.

But as it sprints across the concrete yard it loses its grip and seems to aquaplane from one side to the other at high speed.

As it tries to slow down, the dog spreads its paws wide with no luck.

Seconds later it can be seen hitting a low stone wall before somersaulting into a flowerbed.

The scene was shared on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok – where watchers delighted in the dog’s antics.

Many netizens were worried about the dog’s condition, but others could not help but laugh and joke about the dog’s ‘failed Anti-lock braking system’.

They humorously suggested that it was time for the dog’s owner to change its tyres as they clearly seem worn out.
