SECOND MONEY-MOON: Lucky Groom Scoops Second EUR 1 Million Lotto Win On Wedding Day

A Frenchman who won EUR one million in the lottery was astonished when he discovered he had won the same sum again two years later on his wedding day.

The lucky winner – named only as Alain in local media – checked his EuroMillions ticket during the break between the ceremony and reception.

And he was thunderstruck when he realised he had won his second million after taking his dog for a walk to the local shops.

He said: “That’s when I realised I had won a second time. I came home and told my wife was getting ready for the party.”

He added: “I think you could say the party was very successful”.

Alain even took the winning ticket with him all the way to the couple’s honeymoon in Venice because he was too scared to leave it behind.

He finally called in to claim his win from an Italian hotel.

This time round Alain plans to use the money to invest in property for himself, and he also plans to carry on winning, saying: “I have the same chance as anybody else, and all good things come in threes.”

His win came in the EuroMillions transnational lottery, where the winner needs seven correct numbers to get the jackpot.

Alain first won EUR 1 million (GBP 860,420) prize in 2020 and used the money to buy a house for one of his children, to take a break from work, to plan his wedding and to enjoy life.
