Pop singer Konstrakta will represent Serbia at Eurovision 2022 with a song that includes lyrics about the “secret behind Meghan Markle’s healthy hair”.
Konstrakta, 43, won the Pesma za Evroviziju 22 national selection contest in Belgrade and will travel to the Italian city of Turin to represent Serbia at Eurovision 2022 in May with the song ‘In Corpore Sano’.
The singer, real name Ana Duric, was dressed as a health spa worker and scrubbed her hands while singing the winning song.
The song itself, when translated into English, reportedly features about Meghan Markle’s healthy locks.
The lyrics include: “What is the secret behind Meghan Markle’s healthy hair? What could be the secret? I think that secret is deep hydration. As they say, one’s skin and hair reveal everything clearly. Because as an artist, she has to be healthy.”
Konstrakta, who comes from the Serbian capital Belgrade, originally found fame as the lead singer in the band Zemlja Gruva.
Now launching a solo career, Konstrakta has set tongues wagging with her Eurovision song and its unusual references to the Duchess of Sussex.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest is the 66th edition of the music competition and is being held in Italy after the rock band Maneskin won Eurovision 2021 with the song ‘Zitti e buoni’.
It will be the third time Italy has hosted the contest after previously staging it in 1965 and 1991.
