This is the moment a policeman sucker punches a man in the face, knocking him to the ground.
The incident took place in the Brazilian municipality of Caieiras on 29th May.
In video footage recorded of the incident, two officers can be seen stopping three black males and asking them to move away.
The men can be seen questioning the officers about the stop and one can be heard saying “this is racism”.
One of the men, named as Kaio Souza, can then be seen walking towards one of the officers and questioning his actions.
The officer is then seen landing a heavy punch to his face, causing him to apparently black out and fall to the ground.
He was later taken to a local hospital, and the other men were handcuffed and detained before being subsequently released, apparently without charge.
The force has since said that the officers will be investigated for abuse of power, bodily injury and racism.
The officer who threw the punch, named as Corporal Oliveira, has since been relieved from his duties.
In the police report, the officers had said the men were riding on two motorbikes, showed signs of drunkenness and disobeyed police orders.
One of the stopped men has since claimed that the police officers had been racist towards them, calling them “neguinho” (“blackie”) and “lixo” (“trash”).
The police inquiry is underway.
