A stunning beautician was kidnapped when she tried to dump her boyfriend and then mutilated so shockingly that she could only be identified by her tattoos.

The horrifically disfigured body of Daniele Lyra Nattrodt Barros, 38, was eventually found inside her boyfriend’s vehicle in a car park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Thursday, 8th December.

Police had gone to the parking lot after a tip-off from the wanted man’s lawyer. CCTV images then showed Mario Raposo Yang, 46, leaving the car park on 7th December, after which he vanished.

Her family had raised the alarm on 6th December, after she had started sending strange messages.

It is now believed that her boyfriend had been writing on her behalf after unlawfully imprisoning her when she told him that she wanted to end their relationship of four years.

After the killing, the boyfriend vanished, and police confirmed they have an arrest warrant out and are looking for him.

A relative of the young woman told local media: “She was so disfigured, we could only identify her by her tattoos. Her mother is so shocked she has to be kept heavily sedated, and as soon as the drug wears wears off, all she does is scream.”

The relative, who is the dead woman’s godmother and who asked not to be named, said that it was the mother who raised the alarm with the police after she finally stopped responding to any contact.

She added: “This human being, if we can call him that, is on the loose while the family is destroyed.”

Police confirm they have not yet tracked him down and that the case remains under investigation.
