A beauty blogger from south-western China shows off the power of make-up by completely transforming herself into any celebrity with just a few swoops of the brush.

The make-up artist – named Bobo Zyq in local media in Chongqing municipality – often shows off her incredible skills in videos that she shares with fans on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

Bobo’s talents are so impressive she can easily turn herself into any woman or man she puts her mind to.

And recently, she dedicated a special transformation to football fans everywhere, in light of the 2022 World Cup.

Bobo posted a video in which she picks up her beauty tools, as usual, adds some prosthetics, some fake hair and a beard and suddenly becomes Neymar, Brazi’s star forward.

The transformation was reportedly made with the aim of promoting a dairy drink that pays homage to football players.

The artist says in her profile: “For me, the meaning of imitation with make-up is appreciation, taste or a ritualized homage. Thank you for your attention and support.”

Other athletes have also served as inspiration for the make-up artist, like the Argentinian star Lionel Messi – who plays in the World Cup Final on 18th December.

In her second piece of footage, the artist flips a ball up past her face, and when it drops down, she is the spitting image of Messi.

But Bobo’s artistry does not stop there.

She has also briefly taken on the facial features of the popular fictional character Maleficent, and famous singers such as Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa, by simply using her make-up abilities.
